May 10th, 6:30 PM - FICA Capoeira Club, Oakland

Everyone is searching for inspiring and sustainable ways to respond to the rise of authoritarianism in the U.S. and abroad. Perhaps it's time to look to the past and see how previous generations faced similar political challenges.

For this, we're bringing together two historic members of Black liberation movements:

  • TC Silva from Casa de Cultura Tainã / Rede Mocambos (Brazil)
  • Dr. Saturu Ned from the Black Panthers (U.S.)

They'll discuss parallel political alternatives from past and present struggles.
